Craft Fail: The Halloween Candy Wreath Gone Wrong

I thought I’d be all crafty and make a new wreath for our front door for the Fall.  I was so in love with the Better Homes and Gardens candy corn wreath everyone seemed to make last year, but I wanted to put my own spin on it.

Enter White Chocolate Candy Corn M&M’s (which taste neither like candy corn nor white chocolate, discuss amongst yourselves), a hot glue gun, and a can of spray shellack.  I sprayed the candies prior to adding them to the wreath and then coated the entire thing with another two coats.

Gorgeous, right?

Too bad it looked like a candy massacre on my front porch this morning.

Back to the drawing board, I guess.

Maybe I’ll just make another tulle wreath this year.
