So, I haven’t been the best blogger this week. Turns out writing a tutorial for my Disney Vacation Countdown is a lot more tedious than I thought! Have no fear, though, I’m getting it done and will have it up soon. I’ve also received a few emails about ordering a pre-made countdown. Speaking of vacation, my mind is so preoccupied with our Disney trip. I want to fast forward until our departure date already.
Oh, and then there’s Jillian.
Yes, that Jillian. The one that laughs when you’re ready to die. I’ve been doing the “Ripped in 30″ DVD every night and progressed to the Week Two segment last night after six nights of Week One. I thought I finally had Week One down and that I’d be ok moving up to Week Two.
Apparently I am in worse shape than I thought. I’m pretty sure puking at the end of the workout isn’t exactly what I should be aiming for. Did I mention I cried, too? Yeah, the plank position can shove it. I have a feeling I’ll be doing Week Two twice. I can’t even imagine the hell that awaits in Week Three. Jilliam’s Super Spidey Senses were probably tingling while she laughed at the thought of me puking up dinner after my workout.
The good news is, I already feel stronger after one week. Sure, my muscles are sore and I hate life for 20 minutes a day, but it’s working. I’m also finding myself making better food choices and I’ve cut my soda consumption down by at least 75 percent. My goal isn’t really to get ripped, but to build up endurance for when I start my 10-miler training next month. (looking good in a bathing suit is going to be a nice bonus, though)
I’ll have another update next Wednesday. Maybe. If Jillian doesn’t kill me before then.
