Coast-to-Coast Disney Magic! #Disneyland #CarsLand

So, this is kind of a big deal, y’all.

I’m going to DISNEYLAND.  Yes, that required e-yelling.  Because you guys?  This is something I didn’t think I’d be saying any time soon.  Heck, I didn’t think I’d be saying those words unless we actually ended up stationed in California.

But it’s true!  I’m going to Disneyland next month!

I had an airline voucher to use up before we move and I started daydreaming about using it for a fun trip somewhere.  I threw around a bunch of ideas and then it hit me…why not go to California?  I mean, am I really going to be able to get a free cross-country flight any other time?  I think not.  I also happen to have a really fantastically awesome friend who lives near Anaheim.  It doesn’t get any more perfect than that.

{I must take a moment to give serious props (yes, I said props.  Hey, I try to be cool.) to my husband.  Mainly because he didn’t look at me like I had seven hundred heads when I asked him if it would be ok to just fly across the country and spend a weekend in Disneyland while he was at home with the kids in the middle of our move. Especially since we just returned from a Walt Disney World vacation and Social Media Moms.  The man knows the way to my heart, y’all.  And I’m pretty sure I owe him a trip to Vegas or something by now.}

So this weekend I booked my flight and made my daydreams official.

The timing ends up working out perfectly as well as I will be visiting during opening weekend for Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park! I know it’s going to be packed (and probably nice and hot), but I’m so excited to see Radiator Springs and Route 66 brought to life.  I’m planning on taking a million photos and some video to share with you when I return home!

Of course, my planner OCD self has kicked in.  I know a trip to Disneyland may not require the depth of planning a Walt Disney World trip does (mainly that I don’t need to stress over dining reservations, thank goodness!), but I’m still researching and making lists left and right.  I can’t help it.  It’s in my blood.

I purchased the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland and checked out the TouringPlans.com online Disneyland crowd calendars.  I spent my weekend evenings watching baseball and reading my UO Guide.

I don’t think the weekend could get any better than it was.

So, if you’re a Disneyland native, or you’ve visited both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, give me your best tips and tricks!  I want to hear them!

I’m excited to spend the next month immersed in all things Disneyland Resort and sharing some tips and information along the way.  It’s going to be a magical time!
