Yeah, me, too. Shhhh, don’t tell my husband. He thinks my Pinterest addiction is bad enough.
Did you know seventy percent of social gamers are women? Seventy percent. That’s crazy. More and more, companies are taking notice and gearing their latest games to the female market. My latest addiction, Tail Towns Friends™ is a perfect example of a company gearing social games towards women.
Tail Towns Friends™ is the same kind of concept as Farmville: you build and design your own country retreat and plant crops. It’s free-to-play (and who doesn’t love free?) and available right on Facebook. It’s so much fun to create your little country hideaway. It makes me want to escape to Tail Town, especially on a Monday like today.
The game graphics are well-detailed and I love all of the different options for building your dream country getaway. I’m a huge fan of the Tuscan theme…I mean, who wouldn’t want to run away to a country home in Tuscany, amirite?
But what really sets Tail Towns Friends apart from other games is the fabulous storylines that weave throughout the game. There’s romance, mystery, intrigue…it’s almost like your own little soap opera that unfolds as your game progresses. The characters are hilarious, too. One of the main characters, Grace was quoted as saying “If years of Botox hadn’t dried up my tear ducts, I would cry each time I issued a new certification.”
It’s really hilarious. I think of it as The Real Housecritters of Facebook, minus the awful reunion shows.
And Tail Towns Friends™ is also paving the way by being one of the very first Facebook game to add game codes to the experience. You can collect Tail Towns Friends™ figurines {which are super cute and well-made, btw} and enter the special code to unlock unique game features. It’s kinda like Webkinz for grown-ups, y’all. You’ll also unlock a little bit more of your characters juicy storyline, which is my favorite part. I get a kick out of watching all of the drama unfold.
