Scenes from a Weekend: Hunger Games and Fall Fashion Edition

This weekend was pretty low-key.  TH’s brother and his girlfriend were in town, so we spent most of our time hanging out, having some drinks, playing games, and watching movies.

Speaking of movies…HAPPY HUNGER GAMES Y’ALL!

Yes, I just shouted that at you.  I’m ok with that.  Because ohmygodyouguys I am so excited for it to be on DVD. Not just because that means I can watch it over and over again (which I will), but because this means were that much closer to Catching Fire being released.

And yes, that’s a Redbox DVD.  I didn’t order my copy until Friday afternoon.  I was hoping to stop at Best Buy to pick up the exclusive box set they have, but I wasn’t about to deal with the lines.  I am crossing everything it arrives tomorrow so I can load up the digital copy for my flight on Wednesday!

I also spent a large chunk of this weekend reading the new Fall fashion issues of InStyle, Lucky, and Allure.  I LOVE the Fall fashion issues.  I mean, how could you not love 600+ pages of InStyle?

And, y’all? Do you see my hair?  That’s literally the first time it’s been long enough to braid in…well EVER.  I was a bit excited. My BIL’s awesome girlfriend did it for me. I wish she lived with me so I could wear it like this more often, especially on the weekends.  I tried watching a couple of “how to braid” YouTube tutorials and, well, it just isn’t going to happen.  I feel bad for Bunny if she ever joins a cheerleading or dance team where I have to do her hair…maybe I bribe someone else’s mom to do it for me. With cookies. Or wine. Or both.

We topped off the weekend with a farewell breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  I couldn’t resist throwing in the picture of Cowboy Bubba.  He kept yelling out “I a cowboy. Eeee-awwww cowboy.”  I pretty much died of the cute.

Cracker Barrel…yum. I haven’t watched Hunger Games yet, we were too busy! Hoping for this week!
