I know Halloween is right around the corner and you are probably more concerned about costumes and candy than turkeys and stuffing, but our PCS has kind of made our Halloween plans non-existent. Well, we may pull off the road into a random neighborhood and let our kids trick-or-treat for a bit. That’s not strange, right?
Anywho.
We have so much to be thankful for this year. New friends, new beginnings, new opportunities, family, friends, love. So very much. Thanksgiving has always been at the top of my holiday list. How can you go wrong with the “three F’s” {food, football, family}? We typically spend Thanksgiving with TH’s family, although I’m not quite sure how we’ll handle it this year with Thanksgiving being three weeks after we’ll have moved into a new home, but I digress {again}.
I’ve always wanted to host a swank Martha-worthy Thanksgiving celebration, complete with acorns holding up name cards and individual mini pumpkin pies with delicate pie crust decorations on top. What? I told you it was going to be Martha-worthy. I’d also have the best Thanksgiving invitations to send out to family and friends. There would be no email or Facebook invite. I’m talking hand-addressed envelopes with gorgeous invites inside. After all, an invitation sets the mood for any event. Tiny Prints has a fabulous selection of Thanksgiving invitations this year.
Wouldn’t you be excited to get one of these invites in the mail? I really think I’m going to try and convince TH to host Thanksgiving at our home next year. Maybe. Just so I can theme my dinner around one of these invites.
Tiny Prints also has a great collection of Thanksgiving photo cards. I like the idea of doing a Thanksgiving card as opposed to a Christmas card. We get so inundated with cards at Christmastime and often don’t take the time to apprecaite them all. A Thanksgiving card would be a nice surprise {and gives you one less thing to worry about during December}. We’ve done New Year’s cards instead of Christmas cards and I’d definitely look into Thanksgiving cards in the future.
Have you ever considered using Thanksgiving invitations or photo cards?
